Environments shape our sense of place and peace. Here are a couple of pictures from our employees about their personal environments. Mario Portillo sent us a picture of sunrise on the Daytona yard. I asked him what was important about this picture he said simply, “I like sunrise.” I asked Barbara Turner what her favorite thing about her backyard was, she replied “I'd have to say my favorite thing about where I live is how quiet it is and that I can enjoy my 4 dogs.” Be well in your favorite space Albuquerque Fam. Zombies on the ART Bus:)

What up Albuquerque Fam! We made Zombies kick off our social distance sticker campaign. Check your bus seat to make sure you aren’t sitting on a sticker that tells you not to sit there.
Drivers, customer service and marketing people made paper mache heads and stuffed Zombie bodies. Kids from Taylor Ranch, Herman Sanchez, Cesar Chavez, Thomas Bell, Los Duranes painted more heads. Albuquerque Savers on Menaul and Carlise donated all the clothing that we stuffed the zombies with. The undead rode the ART Buses on Halloween and Day of the Dead. The the Zombies continued their second life as a big donation to 505 Locker, a non-profit that gives free clothing to school kids. Because of COVID 19 leave a seat in-between.
We’ll keep you moving Albuquerque.

Staff takeover 10/21/2020
We have taken shelter in supply closet while members of the operations division rampage through our Facebook and instagram pages. Send likes.
Today’s takeover is from Mike Huckins one of our Operations Supervisors.
“Well, I spent 9 years flying in the Army from 1975-1984. Then to 1994 as a Reserve pilot. Yes I was a Warrant Officer. I flew Medevac Air Ambulance for 4 years and also Cobra Attack Helicopters. I was stationed at Ft Lewis, Washington, Korea, Japan, Alaska and Ft Bliss, Tx. I remember one time back in the early 80’s I had to bring a patient up here to UNMH. The roof top pad was too small and not strong enough for the aircraft size and they were all standing outside watching and waiting. So the crew chief and I had been flying together for a couple years and I told him I am just going to go into the parking lot between the cars and light poles. He said “you’re going to do what? So I did and he opened the doors to look out to make sure I didn’t hit anything and did it. Staff came out a minute later and took the patient inside and that was it.”

Bus 1907 wore their Mask today...

Hey Albuquerque Fam. If you are wondering what’s up with all this “Mask on the Bus” business, we can break it down real quick. If you wear a mask, social distance and stay home, we can help slow the spread of COVID 19 in our city. So yes, the bus is a visible reminder. It’s fun, but it’s a serious signal of our current situation. Mask up.

10/15/2020
Bus 1917 decided to wear their Mask today.

What's up Albquerque Fam? Just another reminder to keep those Masks Up! The situation is real, and we want our riders, drivers and all of you to be safe everyday. Bus 1917 decided that they wanted to show the central corridor what was really up with it...so they put on a mask for the day. We'll get through this together Fam, but let's keep it real in the meantime and keep those Masks Up. Bueno Bye! #onealbuquerque

We want to wish our Director Danny Holcomb a super Happy Birthday! He’s been steering the ship through the current pandemic and we are so lucky to have such a dedicated public servant at the helm. Over the last few months, he’s directed the distribution of 25,000 masks to Transit Riders, implemented screening and protection of staff and drivers at our locations and on our buses and he didn’t lose any more hair while doing it. Happy Birthday Boss, and thanks for keeping us moving!

The Governor just placed non essential services on a two week pause. Will the busses still continue to run as scheduled or will there be cutbacks and if so when. Please respond as quickly as possible as people are requiring this information. Thank you.
Only 2 Buses on Route 10 Northfourth? only 2 gps on.
Only 2 Active Buses on route 10 North 4th!!!😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👎👎👎👎👎
Hi, who do I talk to about the constant issues involving buses on the 155 route? Buses are constantly 5 to 6 minutes early from their scheduled time and when I make an attempt to rush to a bus stop that the drivers are EARLY to, the drivers make no attempt to stop or wait. Just now, I'm sitting at the bus stop waiting and the bus shows up five minutes early. Even my bus tracking app says it is four minutes away. By the time I react and gather my things, the driver has pulled away and refuses to stop. I get that it's on me to pay attention but it is several minutes before the expected time! I only seem to experience this issue on the 155 line and it happens constantly.
June 19, 2020, about 10am, I just checked cabq.gov/transit and find new, up-to-date information about Suntran bus service😄😃😂s! Now I can go somewhere around town other than the one grocery store on west Central! Hooray! Thank you!
I used a #66 on June 11. Saw a small sign about some schedules changing soon, improving, later this month. Nothing about that here on FB or on Suntran website. If I see sign again, I'll take a picture of it as that may be the only way I can get the info I need to prepare.
Oh! Also it would be nice to know when Suntran hopes to resume anything close to "normal" weekday service. I haven't done any real shopping since early March, only going to one grocery store (on Central) via bus. I'd like to go other places w/o having to wait a long time for a bus to come...
It would be nice if Suntran would let riders know if there will be any delays or even closed bus stops downtown after the young fascist attacked businesses along Central last night (5/31). The stops at the Library and at 5th-6th on Gold are of particular interest to me, but folks may also wish to know if the ATC is effected. There is zero info about this on Suntran's website, and tweeting a request was probably useless, so trying here is the only thing I can think of that may share the info far and wide... if you let us know.
Good morning. I was wondering why abq ride is not enforcing social distancing on city buses. This morning on my ride to work, the bus was jam packed. And a lot of people didnt look like they were riding it for a necessity. Also some people still not wearing masks.
Happy Earth Day:)...this is great news!
