The Petroglyph National Monument youth crew wrapped up an incredible 10-week summer program with a BBQ and ceremony joined by park staff to congratulate and thank our youth for their hard work and dedication.

Over the summer, 7 participants and 1 supervisor completed more than 1,900 hours across 25 projects, including staining shade structures, installing and repairing fencing, painting, landscaping, trail maintenance, repairing doors, and crack repairs.

We are proud of this crew and grateful to Petroglyph National Monument for the partnership. Thank you to our youth for showing up, working hard, and making a lasting impact on this beautiful park. 💙

YDI is hiring a Youth Development Practitioner for Northern New Mexico. This role provides career training and support for young adults ages 14 to 24.

Location: Las Vegas, NM (travel in San Miguel, Mora & Colfax Counties)
Pay: $25.66/hour
Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

What You'll Do
Recruit youth for paid work experience. Provide case management and supportive services. Build partnerships with employers and community agencies. Help youth gain skills, finish school, and launch careers.

What You'll Need
High school diploma or equivalent with six years of experience working with youth, or a combination of education and experience. Strong communication and community-building skills.

Our YDI Policy Council held their annual meeting in Taos this weekend and joined the Fiesta festivities alongside our Vice President of Early Childhood Education & Family Development, Debra Baca. We loved cheering on our maintenance supervisor's granddaughter as she ran for Fiesta Queen. It was a beautiful reminder that our work is about showing up for the communities we serve. 💙

Our toddler classroom at Llano Quemado had a great time creating paper flowers for the back of our Taos float using coffee filters with watercolor. They did an amazing job!! 💙🌸
