We are a food pantry that provides FREE groceries to families/individuals once a calendar month. We provide FREE food to people in need.

The Storehouse food pantry gives out and average of 60 meals per family per visit. We are a private food pantry, not a government agency, so we rely on donations for our operation. Changes in food supply will result in changes to what foods are available. Please bring a valid Photo ID card or driver’s license for all adults in the household, and a birth certificate/school registration card for all minor children in the home.

Just scraping by? The Storehouse food pantry can help by providing free groceries to individuals and families in need. You’ll get meats, dairy products, fresh fruits and vegetables, plus shelf stable items and canned goods.

The Storehouse is open on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9 AM - Noon.

There is no income requirement and we only require a valid ID. You can come once a month — we are here to help!

Duke is a two year old border collie mix who is fun and feisty, and loves being cuddled. Duke's human gets his food at the Storehouse and comes to our Pet Food Pantry as well. He wants to make sure both of them have meals to eat.

People have called money cabbage, clams, dough and other food words. So, if you're low on dough and need some actual cabbage, come to the Storehouse. Bring an ID and you can visit once a month and get a cartful of free groceries including shelf-stable items, proteins, dairy products, and fresh fruits or veggies.

Legend has it that the original Buffalo wings were created in 1964 at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York. Chef Teressa Bellissimo tossed cooked chicken wings in hot sauce and served them with celery and blue cheese dressing. Prior to that most wings were just used for making chicken stock, this started a national wing phenomenon.

Is it breakfast or is it dinner? This easy, cost-effective crescent roll, sausage, and egg meal could be either.

All you need is an 8 oz can refrigerated crescent rolls, 1/2 lb breakfast sausage, 6 eggs, and salt and pepper plus the seasonings of your choice.

Preheat oven to 350℉. Cook the sausage. In a medium-sized bowl whisk the eggs and seasonings. Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray. Unroll the crescent rolls and place them on the bottom of the baking dish, pinching the seams of the rolls together. Sprinkle the sausage over the dough, then pour the egg over the top of the sausage.

Bake for 30-40 minutes until the egg has set in the middle and the top is becoming golden.

Love local pottery and the Storehouse? Tickets are on sale now for the annual Empty Bowls fundraiser. Artisans donate handmade bowls, local restaurants donate food, and attendees get both — all in an effort to fight hunger.

Empty Bowls will be Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 11 AM – 3 PM at St. John’s United Methodist Church. (2626 Arizona St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110).

Each $35 ticket includes a bowl to keep, soup, bread, dessert, and a drink. Proceeds are benefiting the Storehouse!

We would also like to say thank you to the volunteers from the New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists for making the pottery distributed at this event.

You can pack food boxes, greet clients, answer phones, sort food donations, fill and push grocery carts for our clients, or help clean up. Looking for something seasonal and fun for a potluck or brunch? Try this strawberry cinnamon roll back that is trending on the internet.

Cut cinnamon rolls into quarters and mix into a cup of sliced strawberries. Bake at 400⁰ for 17 minutes or until golden brown and top with the icing that comes with the cinnamon rolls.

According to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council (who knew there was a council?), Americans eat about 20 billion hot dogs a year. That works out to a surprising 70 hot dogs per person each year. Maybe that contest where people eat 30 at a time throws this number off?

Carbon is a gentle giant who is smart, and playful. His dog papa knows this Labrador Great Dane mix deserves a nutritious meal, so he gets food for both his dog and himself once a month at the Storehouse.

Scrambled pancakes are now a thing, and it’s dividing the internet.

Thanks to a TikToker who originally posted them as a joke, scrambled pancakes are made exactly how they sound, by pouring the batter onto a griddle and scrambling it like eggs as it cooks. The result is mini, firmer, and various shaped pancake bites.

The 2024 Hot Rods for Hunger car show was a big success! We set a new record for this event, bringing in enough money to to provide over 75,000 meals through the food pantry. Good timing, too, since we are seeing a record number of families. Moms shape our lives with love and care, instilling confidence, values, and why family matters. We asked folks at the Storehouse to share memories of their moms with us. It’s not surprising that so many were about food! Enjoy and happy #MothersDay!

We knows moms are some of the hardest working people on the planet. They manage a family, the schedule of meals, school obligations, homework, sports/play, and more. In today's economy, most moms have jobs on top of all that. Storehouse team member, Lindsay, is no different. During the workweek, she is busy trying to write grants and raise money for the Storehouse. The rest of her time centered around her three young children, husband, family, and friends. She joined the Storehouse team in early 2024 and is making an impact already. Currently, she's planning our car show, Hot Rods for Hunger, which is in June, and a golf tournament for this fall. Lindsay knows the challenges moms face, firsthand, and is working to help other families put food on the table through our work at the Storehouse. Please join us in welcoming Lindsay!

Happy #CannedFood month!🥫At the Storehouse, canned foods offer us a way to collect and store food safely without refrigeration. We appreciate canned food donations all year long!

The Storehouse food delivery service has allowed us to reach people who need food, but have barriers to getting to the food pantry. Many are disabled or elderly, some are too ill to leave their homes, and others lack transportation. We are thankful we can bring them food with our delivery partner DoorDash, plus the support of Cigna Healthcare and individual donors.

This is the time of year where comfort food tastes the best! We tried out macaroni and cheese in a mug and it did not disappoint. Check out the latest episode of #CookingWithTheStorehouse Recipe to try at home: 1. Put 1/2 cup of dry macaroni (or any small pasta) plus 1/2 cup of water in a large microwave safe mug or bowl. Microwave 4-6 minutes until pasta is cooked al dente (cooked but firm, not mushy). 2. Drain the excess water then add 1/4 cup of milk, 1/2 cup grated cheese of your choice (we used cheddar), and a tablespoon of butter. Stir to combine 3. Microwave 1 -1 1/2 minutes more until everything is melted. Stir then and add salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
