City of Albuquerque Planning Department The Albuquerque Planning Department provides a full range of services from processing building permi The Albuquerque Planning Department provides a full range of services from processing building permits to developing long range, regional plans & policies to enforcement of the zoning code, housing code and w**d, litter and snow removal ordinance.

The Planning Department is made up of several divisions including: AGIS, Building Safety, Code Enforcement, Development Review Services, Real Property and Urban Design and Development. The Planning Department does not handle road/street maintenance, traffic patterns or any portion of the public right of way. Those items are handled by the City's Department of Municipal Development.
