Hello Alburtis Families,

I am reaching out to share a few very important safety reminders. As you can appreciate, safely welcoming 385 children into our school each morning requires all stakeholders to follow the established procedures and protocols.

We are very fortunate to have an extremely supportive police presence that assists us each morning and afternoon by directing traffic. We also have a very dedicated custodian, Mr. Allan, who helps manage the flow of traffic to ensure a safe arrival for all students.

Car Drop-Off Reminder:
All parents using the car drop-off area must adhere to the posted speed limit and remain alert for children and families who are pedestrians and have the right of way.

Morning Office Visits Before 9:00 AM:
If you are bringing your child to school and need to conduct business in the main office prior to 9:00 AM, you are required to use on-street parking and the designated crosswalk to enter the building.

Please remember that only school buses are permitted to enter the bus loop between 8:30 and 9:00 AM.

Late Arrivals:
If you arrive late, please slow down and proceed safely. Whether you are one minute late or five minutes late, you are still late. Speeding to the front door creates a dangerous situation for our students and families and will not be tolerated.

Your children's safety is our number one priority, and we appreciate your partnership in following these procedures to keep our Alburtis community safe.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.

New Arrival Today

Our new cruiser will go into service today. This vehicle replaces a 13-year old vehicle that had become unreliable with numerous mechanical issues.
New 904 was partially funded by the Local Share Accounts grant. The computer and police radio were also funded by grants which reduced the total cost of the cruiser by 35%.

Special thanks to Lehigh Valley Fleet Solutions for installing the emergency lighting and equipment and to Jet Signs LLC for the paint and striping. Outstanding customer service and work quality by both of these companies. Thank you!
