All things come to an end, and so it seems my time at Alcester-Hudson Schools is ending. When I took the job for 9 weeks, I never dreamed that it would last 5 years. Now it is time to let go and move on. The kids accomplished a lot in those five short years. Our membership in FFA went from 15 to 55. We had two American Degree recipients, 10 State Degree recipients and two candidates for state office, one of which became State FFA Secretary and a candidate for national office.
I was blessed to have wonderful administrators like Mrs. Haisch to work with and some truly wonderful fellow teachers. Over 80 classroom speakers were brought in, countless field trips for actual hands-on learning, and class sizes went from 5 to 20.
In that time the CTE department was awarded two awards of excellence, the Achieve 100 Award (including this year).
I can't begin to tell you how much I am going to miss teaching and those crazy kids! Thank you for all your support and thanks for the memories.
Mr. Day
