Water Main Flushing 2025

Dear Resident:

The Village of Alden Department of Public Works will be flushing water mains in the Village of Alden beginning with overnights (10pm-6am) on 4/7/25 and 4/9/25. The DPW will continue during the day (7am-3pm) on the following dates: 4/14/25, 4/17/25, 4/21/25, 4/24/25 and 4/28/25. Below you will find the streets affected:

Monday, April 7th, 2025, AND Wednesday, April 9th, 2025 - ALL of Broadway, Sullivan, Rusher Dr., Westcott-May affect Emerson, Irving, West Main, Alden Landings and Alden Village Estates.

Monday, April 14th, 2025 - Maple Ridge, Exchange and Railroad-May affect Kellogg, Elm, Mechanic and Alden Village Estates.

Thursday, April 17th, 2025 - Crittenden, Cherry Tree, Arlington, Colonial Woods, Lafayette, Mt. Vernon, Park, Emerson, Irving- May affect Mercer and Baxter.

Monday, April 21st, 2025 - Exchange, Kellogg, Elm, Mechanic and Railroad St.-May affect Broadway from Alden Medical Group (12845 Broadway) to Alden Village Estates (13525 Broadway).

Thursday, April 24th, 2025 - West Main, Willow Woods, Meadow and Homecourt.

Monday April 28th, 2025 - Westcott, Park, Mercer, Baxter, Lindan and Irving.

Please refrain from using water during these hours as you may experience cloudy or rusty water.

. We would like to remind the public it is against code to plow snow into the public right of way, according to the following code:
§ 177-12 ALDEN VILLAGE CODE C. It shall be unlawful for any person to use, or cause to be used, the public street or any sidewalk for the deposit, piling or placement of plowed or shoveled snow and/or ice. Every owner and occupant, jointly and/or severally, of any lands, premises or buildings fronting upon any street or public place in the Village shall, upon notification by the Department of Public Works, be required to immediately remove any snow and/or ice placed or piled contrary to this provision.

Election petitions are available, for three (3) four year terms for Village Trustees, and one (1) four year term for Village Justice which will be voted upon, at the Village election to be held on Tuesday, March 18,2025 in the community Room of Village Hall, 13336 Broadway, Alden, New York from 12 noon until 9:00 PM. Election petitions can be picked up at the Village Clerk’s office, Monday – Friday, 9 am- 4 pm, and will be accepted until Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
