CITY COUNCIL: The Alden City Council holds regular council meetings on the second Wednesday of every month at 6:00 PM. Meetings are located in the Meeting Room across from the City Office at 174 Water Street Alden, MN. MORIN LAKE: Located in the center of Alden, Morin Lake is approximately 21 acres in size. It is about 7 feet deep at its deepest point and anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including bluegill, large mouth bass, and walleye. HISTORY: Alden, a city in Alden and Carlston Townships, settled in 1858, was organized April 3, 1866. The railway village was platted in 1869, and the track was completed to this place January 1, 1870; it had station on the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad.
