At the Erie County Association of School Boards’ annual dinner, Alden Board of Education member Jill Hopcia was honored for her 15 years of dedicated service to the District. During her tenure, she served as Board President for 10 years and Vice President for 2 years.

A huge thank you to Mrs. Hopcia for her unwavering commitment to Alden’s students, staff, and school community. 💙💛

🎨✨ Big congratulations to our incredibly talented student artists! At the June 4th Board of Education meeting, the Art Department proudly introduced Genevieve M., Paige B., Samantha G., and Amayalee K., whose amazing artwork has been selected for the Superintendent’s Permanent Art Collection! 🖼️👏

Missing from the photo is Paige D., who was unable to attend the meeting, but her incredible work was also honored.

This marks the 17th year of celebrating student creativity through this prestigious collection, and we couldn't be more proud!

Proposition No. 1 – 2025-25 Budget

Proposition No. 2 – Purchase of School Buses

Yes 586 No 147 Passed

Proposition No. 3 – Capital Reserve Fund

Yes 574 No 148 Passed

Proposition No. 4 – Purchase of Buildings and Grounds Equipment

Yes 600 No 132 Passed

We also held elections for two seats on our Board of Education. The newly elected members are: Lora Woodard and Paul Roll, Jr.

Mrs. George's class had a large emergence of butterflies this AM! There was much excitement by students (and adults) watching the chrysalises become butterflies!
