Dear Friends of Alden Volunteers,

As the August 20 deadline approaches to register for AV's August 29 Poker Walk, WE ARE IN NEED OF MORE TEAMS!! If you haven't already done so, please consider registering a team and/or spreading the word. With a chance for one team to win $2,000, this is sure to be a lot of fun, and a great way to involve downtown Alden businesses. "Tot's n Tot's of Burgers" food truck will be providing lunch, and we'll have some great silent auction items that you won't want to miss out on!

I've attached a flyer and registration form. We don't need payment by this Thursday - just team registration - you can pay at the event check-in. Please let Tim or I know if you have any questions.

August Election Early Voting Update

Helena Township has successfully completed all 9 days of Early Voting, with a total of 89 voters casting their ballots early!

Daily Early Voting Totals:
• Day 1: 5
• Day 2: 3
• Day 3: 9
• Day 4: 15
• Day 5: 11
• Day 6: 10
• Day 7: 8
• Day 8: 15
• Day 9: 13

As of today:
✅ 315 absentee ballots have been mailed.
✅ 180 absentee ballots have been returned.

With 960 registered voters in Helena Township, approximately 691 voters may still vote on Election Day or return their absentee ballot to teh township before the deadline.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported the election process this season. The Helena Township Clerk's Office—Oryana and Victoria—along with special guests Andy Stuart and Dorothy Clore, and our loyal, dependable Election Inspectors. Your dedication and hard work help ensure every election runs smoothly.

Election day is tomorrow 8-4-2026. The polls will be open from 7am - 8pm. If you have not mailed your Absentee Ballot in yet ... DON'T! It wont make it to the clerk on time. Instead, drop if off at the secure voters drop box at the Township Offices before 8:00pm tomorrow 8-4-2026. Make sure that you vote counts.
