Aldersonians and our neighbors,
By now, you’re starting to see a mix of forecasts and predictions for tomorrow’s weather. Here is something to ponder, two weeks ago, one tree caused major brown out issues.
This wasn’t 20 or 30mph wind. It was a little thunder storm. The time to be prepared for weather issues is ALWAYS. And not major storms.
Our staff has been working all day topping off fuels, making sure our back up power functions, making sure we have shelter needs taken care of should the need arise.
Our fire department filled the spare oxygen cylinders and made sure they are good on fuel and propane.
We’ve also been making sure our portable radios are charged and don’t need batteries and our back up communications are operable. Worst case scenario we use our resources. Best case scenario, everything passes and we just made sure everything is good.
