This year Loudoun County Fire and Rescue is partnering with the firefighters union Local 3756. We will be collecting coats for the coat drive and our new Heroes for the Holidays toy drive. This will ensure items collected stay in Loudoun County. Please drop coats and or toys off at any firehouse.

Today, FF Stone Hykes is serving his last day at Engine/Medic 27. He came to 27 / D shift from LCFR Recruit School #37 when Kirkpatrick Farms opened in May 2019.

In a few short days, he will be shipping out to boot camp for the Army National Guard. Upon returning from boot camp (and with his expressed interest in becoming part of the LCFR hazmat team), he will be assigned to Dulles South / South Riding Co. 19

Welcome to Firehouse 27’s newest member, Graham Wiles. Probationary Firefighter Wiles comes to us as a graduate of Loudoun County Fire and Rescue’s Recruit School # 40, which graduated on Monday, January 4th.

Congratulations to Firefighters Doug Sills, Tyler Joyave, Jason Lentz, Candice Swartz, Nick Andrews, and Barry Smith on passing the Technicians promotional process. This is argueably the toughest test in the department. Kirkpatrick Farms FS 27 is well represented on the list. Great job to all.

Congratulations again to Captain Michael Ciaburri for earning Officer of the Year. Today the Chief of Department and Assistant Chief came for lunch to present Captain Ciaburri with his award.

We wanted to give a huge shout out to Kirkpatrick Farms Fire Station 27 for coming back out to our school to visit with our older children last week.
