Don’t miss your chance to join the 2026–2027 BRHS Band Auxiliaries for an exciting day of learning, performing, and fun!

📅 Thursday, June 25, 2026
🕗 Instruction: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
🎭 Performance: 5:30 PM
📍 New Benjamin Russell High School Band Room
💲 Cost: $50
Open to students entering 3rd–9th grade!

Campers will:
⭐ Learn basic baton or flag skills and a fun routine
⭐ Receive lunch, a snack, and a camp t-shirt
⭐ Perform for family and friends the same evening
⭐ Have the opportunity to perform during pregame with The Pride of Alexander City Wildcat Marching Band this fall as the football team runs out of the tunnel! 🏈🎶
This is a great opportunity to learn from the BRHS Auxiliary Team and become part of the BRHS Auxiliary family!

Mandatory Substitute Training:
All Substitutes for Alexander City Schools must complete one of the training sessions below to substitute in our system for the 2026-2027 School year. These sessions will be held at the ACS Central Office Board Room.

June 9 - 8:30 a.m.-10:30 A.M.
July 13 - 8:30 A.M.-10:30 A.M.
August 11 - 8:30 - 10:30 A.M.

Yesterday we celebrated our precious counselor’s retirement. After serving the children of ACS for over 24 years, Mrs. Christy Lashley is ready to move on to her next chapter, and we wish her all the best!

Congratulations to our final ACMS Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Deshunda Whetstone. Coach Whetstone has been a cornerstone of ACMS for the past 26 years and has mentored numerous students and teachers along the way. We are so thankful for her dedication and commitment!

‼️ It’s time for a Wildcat Shout Out‼️ After receiving a letter from seventh grader Elijah Johnson, Chick Fil A manager, Mrs. Lois Ann Murphree surprised Mrs. Shores’s entire class with Chick Fil A to personally thank him for his kind words. The letter was written as a class assignment to encourage students to express gratitude and admiration through the written word. We are blessed to have such great teachers and community members who bring learning to life for our students! Thank you, Chick-fil-A & Mrs. Malorie Shores!
