Important Reminder: Registration for returning and new students is NOW OPEN for the 2026–2027 school year at Alexander City Schools!

We strongly encourage families to register early this year.

This year will be especially important as we transition into our new school structure with the opening of Stephens Intermediate School and Radney Junior High School.

As we combine three schools into two, this will be a hectic but exciting time for everyone.

Registering early can help ease families into our new reality and make the start of school smoother for students, parents, and staff alike.

Our goal is always to admirably serve the families of Alexander City Schools and make our schools — Jim Pearson Elementary, Stephens Intermediate, Radney Junior High, and Benjamin Russell High School — the very best for those we serve.

📣 Attention Upcoming 6th Grade Families! 📣

All students age 11 and older entering the 6th grade in Alabama schools are required to receive the tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine and obtain an updated Certificate of Immunization.

Students will not be allowed to begin the 2026–2027 school year without this required vaccine documentation.

Please contact your child’s physician or the local health department as soon as possible to schedule an appointment and avoid any delays for the upcoming school year.

Mandatory Substitute Training:
All Substitutes for Alexander City Schools must complete one of the training sessions below to substitute in our system for the 2026-2027 School year. These sessions will be held at the ACS Central Office Board Room.

June 9 - 8:30 a.m.-10:30 A.M.
July 13 - 8:30 A.M.-10:30 A.M.
August 11 - 8:30 - 10:30 A.M.

The 2026 Benjamin Russell High School Graduation Ceremony is underway! 🎓

Today marks a historic milestone as the first class graduates from our new BRHS facility. Special thanks to our senior class, the BRHS teachers and staff, and the countless individuals who have supported these wonderful students throughout their journey.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to our amazing parents and community members who graciously adapted to last-minute changes and still showed up in full support to ensure these seniors are properly recognized and celebrated.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! Your future is bright, and we are proud of each and every one of you!

⚠️ Graduation Admission Notice ⚠️

It has come to our attention that some families may attempt to recreate or use fraudulent graduation tickets for tonight’s ceremony. To ensure fairness and safety for all attendees, guests will be checked in against a list associated with each graduating student before entering the gym.

Once the allotted number of guests for a student has entered, that student’s name will be marked complete, and no additional guests will be admitted.

These procedures are being implemented to maintain the integrity of the event and to ensure all families are treated fairly.

Doors will open at 5:45 p.m., and tables will be set up to help direct guests to their designated areas.

Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we work through these difficult circumstances and celebrate our graduates.
