📣 Our reading room is open!

The LSUA Archives and Special Collections reading room in the LSUA Library is a space designated for archives research. It is available for use to LSUA students, faculty, and outside researchers by appointment.

We've been dreaming up this space for two years and are thrilled to share it now with our campus and community. Alexandria Museum of Art Curator Olivia Helmer and her summer intern, LA Tech history major Sofia Z., were our inaugural patrons. They are researching Clementine Hunter in the Sue Eakin Collection for an upcoming AMOA exhibit.

Collaboration & Connection in the Archives! ✨ This past Friday, the LSUA Archives and Special Collections made a special delivery to Mayor Dwight Landreneau and the Town of Washington, delivering several copies of the book Washington, Louisiana by former LSUA professor Sue Eakin to Washington Town Hall.
