This is Alaysia Jones. She is following her cousins footsteps by Joining the Louisiana National Guard. She is joining as an 88M (truck driver). She is currently enrolled at Alexandria Senior High School as Junior. She will finish out her junior year and immediately go to Basic Combat training in the Summer. And will finish her senior year in the fall.

While she’s in College full time the National Guard will pay
100% of her tuition
100% of her mandatory fees
481$ a month for her GI Bill
350$ a month for her GI Bill kicker.
And get a drill check.

Meet PVT Thandolwenkosi Pahla “Thando”

PVT Pahla is an immigrant that came from Zimbabwe back in 2021 with his family. His mom and dad are nurses. PVT Pahla became a medic and started working for Acadian.

“Thando”, as I call him, reached out to me back in January. From what I could tell, Thando was the most excited person I have ever enlisted. Because he was already a qualified medic, he was able to enlist under our Civilian Acquired Skills Program (CASP). Not only does this program allow you to cut off a large portion of your training, but the member gets to enlist as a higher pay grade. When he goes to training, he’ll be paid as an E4 specialist.

And yes, if he does decide to continue his education, he qualifies for the State Tuition Exemption Program, Patriot Scholarship, GI Bill (481$/M), Kicker (350$/M).

In addition to all this because of his decision to join the Louisiana Army National Guard his and his families citizenship will be expedited.

Thando has a bright future in front of him and I can’t wait to see what he does next.

Next up. This is PVT Austin McMickin. Super exited about this one. He was was my enlistment out of Oak Hill High school. Currently attending as a senior, and pitches for their Varsity Baseball team. He plans to attend college at Louisiana Tech University.

PVT MCmickin joined as a horizontal construction engineer (12 N).
Well, attending Louisiana Tech University.
100% tuition exemption.
100% mandatory fees.
$481 per month while full-time school.
Will earn a drill check every single month
We’ll get to pocket all his academic scholarships.

Next up, Marlasha Chapman, following in her big Sister’s foot steps By Joining the Louisiana Army National Guard. Pvt Chapman joined the Guard as a (68w) medical specialist. While she is at her school, like many other army schools, will be earning college credits. In her case about 60 college credit hours. Many schools around the state accept these credits and get to accelerate their education. In Pvt Chapman’s case this is also true. She plans to use these credits in pursuit of a nursing Degree from LSU. Then on to be a nurse practitioner.

While she’s in’s school the National Guard will pay 100% of her tuition
100% of her mandatory fees
481$ a month for her GI Bill
350$ a month for her GI Bill kicker.
And get a drill check.

This is PVT Bailey Perrodin. Currently, he is a student At LSUA And plans to utilize the Louiana Army National Guard’s Benefits to pay his way At Louisiana State University. He picked the Job aircraft power plant repairer (15B). When his training is complete he will be qualified to work on Black Hawk helicopters.

While he is gone at training he will earn ~2,300$ a month after taxes all while being housed and fed.

When he gets back from training and attends LSU this is what he will get:
100% of his tuition will be payed.
100% of his mandatory fees paid.
481$ per month GI Bill.
350$ per month GI Bill kicker.
he will also be earning a monthly drill check.

Up next. This is Pvt Javoric Allen, a senior at ash, who is currently a member of Alexandria Senior High school track team, he is currently a drilling member at Recruit Sustainment program. PVT Allen has already sent me a referral for our stripes for Buddy’s Program and will get promoted next drill.

He joined as a Fueler (92F).
When he goes to college the Guard will pay
100% of his tuition
100% of his mandatory fees
481 dollars per month while he is in school full time
He will also receive a drill check monthly

I know this is a bit late but it needs to be done! I want to give a big shout out to this guy. Welcome Pvt Samuel Scarborough, following in his brother and his dad in joining the Louisiana Army National Guard!

He joined back in October as a Horizontal construction (12N) engineer and is already at basic training.

We had an awesome drill weekend this month! Family day,on Sunday, was a success! Congratulations to PV2 Willis and SPC Cerbus for pushing themselves beyond their limits and showing outstanding leadership and discipline this past weekend, as well!
