I know I said my last tour of 2025 was on Friday, but I did get to spend an hour exploring Old Town Alexandria with this VIT (Very Important Toddler) yesterday. He especially enjoyed encountering this statue of "his Daddy" sitting on a bench in front of the . 😂

Another insightful article on the late great Frankie Welch by Ashley Callahan. Frankie made Duvall House her home and dress shop for some 35 years. We keep a homage to Frankie in the kitchen with samples of her scarves and a wonderful press quality photo.

Frankie Welch was a scarf designer and fashion entrepreneur whose clients included politicians and First Ladies as well as prominent businesses, universities, and organizations. She operated a dress shop near Washington, D.C. named Frankie Welch of Virginia, from 1963 to 1990. Early Biography Welch....
