The Mt Vernon – Lee Chamber of Commerce honored Franconia Volunteer FD career members and volunteers at their annual Police and Firefighters Tribute this past Friday.
Chief Timothy G. Fleming was awarded Volunteer Firefighter of the Year 2020 and TECH-E, Michael J. Coppersmith was awarded Firefighter of the Year 2020.
We want to congratulate both Chief Fleming and TECH-E Michael J. Coppersmith for their outstanding contribution to the community and service to Franconia Volunteer Fire Department.

BINGO Operations Update, effective 11/18/20:
- BINGO Operations will continue
- Max capacity will be 92 patrons
- No more than two patrons per table, regardless of relationship status
- Face coverings are mandatory, covering nose AND mouth
- If wearing face shield, face covering must cover mouth at a minimum
- Kitchen will remain closed
- Water and face shields will be available for sale, $1 each

Last night our Chief, Tim Fleming, was presented with the inaugural Fire Chief's Career Achievement Award for 2019, as well as honored for his 19 year service and dedication to the Fairfax County Volunteer Fire Commission as it's Chairman. Did you know he's been the Chief at Franconia for 30 years?! Wouldn't have it any other way 😊

I wanted to really thank the firefighters that did our Co-op group yesterday. They were really the sweetest and most patient guys ever. And made our experience awesome. All the kids loved meeting you all and Ariella hasn’t hush up about you all since we left lol. I have a ton of pics to send you all of you can contact me on Facebook I will send them all to you.
This volunteer firefighter was awesome with my 4 y/o and twin 3 y/o grandsons. I thought the masks would scare them but they all wanted to hug him. I think that this is a wonderful way to do preschool fire emergency education. Thank you!
