Today we finally get to share that Final Salute, Inc. has received a Lowe’s Community Impact Grant, helping us check off one of our bucket list projects!

This project will allow us to make important improvements to our transitional home in Northern Virginia, creating a safer, more private, and more welcoming environment for the women veterans and families we serve.

We are so grateful for this investment in our mission and cannot wait to share the transformation with you.

Congratulations, Major Jas Boothe — Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism! 🎓💛

We are incredibly proud to announce that Major Jas Boothe, President and Founder of Final Salute Inc. has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism. This prestigious recognition was presented on August 1, 2026, at Georgia Tech University by the Global International Alliance University (GIA) — an organization representing leaders from over 190 countries who are committed to advancing humanitarian efforts worldwide.

For 16 years, Major Boothe has elevated the national platform for homeless women veterans and their children, building a movement that changed the landscape of veteran support in America. Her leadership is rooted in her unwavering commitment to “Never Leave a Fallen Comrade,” a promise she has lived out through every program, every initiative, and every life Final Salute Inc. has touched.

Her story is one of extraordinary triumph — surviving Hurricane Katrina, battling cancer, and rising from devastation to create one of the most influential women‑veteran organizations in the nation. She turned her pain into purpose, her struggle into service, and her voice into a lifeline for thousands.

Today, we honor Dr. Jas Boothe not only for what she has accomplished, but for the legacy she continues to build.

A humanitarian. A visionary. A warrior for women who served.
