🇺🇸 Proud to Support National Defense Through Our Waterways 🚢
When the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), U.S. Army needed to move over 1,000 trucks, trailers, and tons of equipment for a large-scale training exercise, they turned to one of the most reliable and cost-effective transportation systems in the country: America’s inland waterways.
The Central Louisiana Regional Port is proud to have played a role in this major military logistics operation, which leveraged the Cumberland, Ohio, Mississippi, and Red Rivers to transport critical equipment from Fort Campbell, KY, to the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Johnson, LA.
Thanks to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and their continued investment in our inland waterway infrastructure, missions like this are not only possible but efficient and secure—demonstrating how vital our ports and rivers are to military readiness and national security.
We salute the Soldiers of the 1st Mobile Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, and all partners who made this successful operation happen.
