Support the WHF Foundation on ! WHFF supports women and underserved populations through direct financial grants, community service, and financial empowerment initiatives. Community grant partners provide services to women and families facing homelessness and domestic violence. Programs offered include financial literacy and self-sufficiency. The Foundation also supports an annual scholarship at Trinity University, awarded to "post- traditional” student studying in a housing/finance-related field.

The Foundation promotes personal finance, particularly to low-income consumers, and fosters education for low-income students, particularly women, in housing and finance. Community grants support the charitable and educational efforts of community nonprofits, especially career development and housing for the homeless and underprivileged.

Volunteers Needed: Bridges to Independence Arlington Bunny Hop

WHF Foundation grantee Bridges to Independence needs volunteers to help set up the Arlington (Virginia) Bunny Hop.

The Arlington Bunny Hop is family-friendly 5k race/walk hosted by Clarendon United Methodist Church helping local nonprofits. Bridges to Independence has been announced as the sole beneficiary for 2023. Help support the race by registering to run or volunteering.

Please consider the WHF Foundation in your year-end giving.

The WHF Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been dedicated for the past 25 years to:
• Developing personal finance counseling programs to enhance the financial literacy of low-income women or other at-risk individuals;
• Providing partnership grants to organizations that make available services and programs to women and their families in the Washington, DC area; and
• Creating a scholarship program for women students interested in the fields of housing and finance.

The WHF Foundation has contributed over $850,000 to local non-profit organizations, conducted more than 300 financial literacy sessions, and provided $41,000 in student scholarships.
