The day offered residents time to be active, spend time with neighbors, and experience the city.�

Residents at Coppermine Place brought creativity to life through their jungle creations as part of Wesley Housing’s Odyssey summer enrichment program for older adults and persons with disabilities.

Campers painted jungle-themed canvases and decorated tote bags while sharing conversation and ideas throughout the session.

In alignment with the 2026 Older Americans Month theme, “Champion Your Health,” Odyssey offers opportunities for creative expression that support mental well-being, cognitive engagement, and social connection.

This year’s jungle adventure theme brought residents together for creative team challenges ranging from survival scenarios to teamwork strategies that sparked collaboration and problem-solving.

As part of the 2026 Older Americans Month theme, “Champion Your Health,” Odyssey supports opportunities for social connection and cognitive engagement that contribute to healthy aging and overall well-being.

Taking a creative break for at Wesley Housing HQ.

Staff stopped by our Coloring for Kindness activity to color cards and write messages of encouragement for Inspiring My Generation Corporation, a nonprofit focused on mental health awareness, education, open conversation, and compassionate support.

Through their Encouragement Card Program, these messages of hope are shared with individuals hospitalized in psychiatric units, reminding them they’re not alone.

The Housing Expo is a regional snapshot of the affordable housing ecosystem coming together—developers, nonprofits, construction professionals, finance and lending partners, green building leaders, and public sector agencies—all in one place.

It’s where playmakers across the field connect, share ideas, and drive solutions that support the creation and preservation of affordable communities.

This year’s theme, “35 Years of Making HOMES,” reflects the work we do together to strengthen and sustain communities across our region.
