ACHS Debate IS GOING TO CHICAGO!!! 🏅🏅🏅

We are so so proud of both of our variety teams for qualifying for NCFL nationals in Chicago! Harlow and Andrew were excited to finish their final Metrofinals as two-year reigning champs! Ethan and Arianna made the amazing accomplishment of 5th place in their first varsity season! Additionally, ACHS won third place sweepstakes for most high placements this year at WACFL, taking home a huge trophy! We are so excited for VA to take nationals by storm! Next stop, VHSL!!

International Academy leadership students work on their new weekly podcast. Students in Ms. Rice’s leadership group are helping incorporate the IA into the larger Academy system through their new podcasts and their blog. They will work with Mr. Elias to record podcasts and maintain a WordPress site.

Ms. Jacqueline Rice has expanded the IA leadership program so much that it is now a crucial part of the International Academy. Students are active in many different ways, including last weeks Iftar celebration. They help support other IA students who may not be as acculturated to the new environment and they bring their own cultures and experiences to our school.
