TCD's Distinguished Speaker
Dr. Arle Lommel's presentations delivered relevant information and resources for translation company owners, eliciting great interaction and high attendance, as reported by our colleague Ray Valido, the outgoing assistant administrator who attended ATA65, representing the division leadership council.

Our Distinguished Speaker, Dr. Arle Lommel, hit it out of the park with his session this afternoon. Great interaction at the end, very relevant to translation company owners.

The American Translators Association's 65th Annual Conference will be held on Oct. 30-Nov. 2, 2024 in Portland, OR!

The Distinguished Speaker Spotlight for the Translation Company Division (TCD) is Arle Lommel, Ph.D.

Dr. Arle Lommel is a senior analyst with independent market research firm CSA Research. He is a recognized expert in quality processes and interoperability standards. His research focuses on technology, quality assessment, and interoperability. He also examines large-scale translation industry trends, how humans and machines interact, and how AI is affecting language work. Born in Alaska, he has a PhD from Indiana University.
