Many more asked, “What can I do to help?” The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) was established in 2002 as a national network of volunteers, organized locally to improve the health and safety of their communities. The MRC network is made up of 987 community-based units and almost 200,000 volunteers located throughout the United States and its territories.

Bridget has been a MRC volunteer since March 2020. She has a total of 183 deployments and worked total of over 1010 hours. Bridget dedicated 427 hours during the COVID response last year! Your quiet strength and compassion for your colleagues and the community are inspiring THANK YOU!
Suzette has been a MRC volunteer since January 2021. She has a total of 68 deployments and worked total of 447 hours. Suzette dedicated 428 hours during the COVID response last year! You step in and embrace every opportunity with excitement, enthusiasm, and heart THANK YOU!
Kathy has been a MRC volunteer since April 2020. She has a total of 146 deployments and worked total of 862 hours. Kathy dedicated 438 hours during COVID response last year! Kathy, you care so deeply, and you step up to support the things you believe in regardless of the personal cost. THANK YOU!!!
Marco has been a MRC volunteer since January 2021. He has a total of 71 deployments. Marco volunteered 435 hours during COVID response last year! Thank you for being an inspiration to us all!
Nathan has been a MRC volunteer since April 2020. He has a total of 116 deployments and over 730 hours. Nathan volunteered 439 hours during COVID response last year! Volunteers like Nathan change the world, and we are forever grateful! Thank you!
Santos has been a MRC volunteer since 2011. He has over 140 deployments and over 1,000 hours. Santos volunteered 533 hours during COVID response last year! Thank you so much for the immeasurably valuable work you have done for our community!

The City officials partner with Alexandria Police to celebrate the Annual National Night Out. The special celebration is part of a nationwide crime and drug prevention effort sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. To emphasize awareness of crime prevention, neighborhoods host coock-outs, block parties in support of National Night Out.
