Permanent Housing. This program works with participants to identify housing units for placement within the community. If you are a LANDLORD that would like to work with our program, please contact our Case Manager at [email protected]. Permanent Housing provides supportive housing to those who are chronically homeless with disabilities. The goal is to provide services and resources to help individuals accepted into the program receive the necessary treatments for them to once again become contributing members of our community. The program uses the "Housing First" model of service delivery and works alongside program participants to help them reach their housing and healthcare goals.

Housing Participants must be referred to LITS program through the Coordinated Entry Process. For more information on how to be connected to Coordinated Entry, Click here https://www.cenlahomeless.org/lits-

We at the CLHC have so much to be thankful for but this holiday season we want to say thank you to the Cenla Community as a whole. We have been overwhelmed by the support you have shown us, especially in these past few months as we have transitioned into new leadership at the CLHC.

Our Executive Director wants to thank everyone who has contacted us with questions, ideas, and events aimed at helping us to get people off the streets and into permanent affordable housing. Homelessness is a community problem. We are so thankful that Cenla is energized to provide a community focused solution to an issue that is near and dear to our hearts.

There is still more work to be done. This holiday season there will be several people who won’t be able to enjoy the holidays in their own home, so if you want to help us with our mission to provide sustainable housing for the homeless, please donate at https://www.cenlahomeless.org/donatesponsor

About CLHC

CLHC began as a group of volunteers who wanted to streamline the homelessness services in Central Louisiana and seek federal funding for homelessness programs. In 1993, the Coalition obtained its 501(c)3 nonprofit status and began operating under the umbrella of Shepherd Ministries/Hope House. In 2006, the Coalition became its own entity with a Board of Directors and an Executive Director. Since this time, the Coalition has grown tremendously, to include supportive housing programs, street outreach, supportive services, region wide management of the homelessness services database, and the opening of a resource drop-in center for the homeless. The Coalition also acts as the Lead Applicant of the community’s homelessness Continuum of Care, bringing nonprofit service providers, local law enforcement agencies, faith-based organizations, and individuals who share the mission of ending homelessness in Central Louisiana together.
