The Senate has confirmed Alan Davidson as administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration on a bipartisan 60-31 vote. NATOA congratulates Mr. Davidson on his confirmation and looks forward to working with NTIA on the historic investment in broadband the agency will be administering under Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

The Treasury Department has released its Final Rule on use of the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) appropriated in the American Rescue Plan Act. The SLFRF program provides $350 billion to state, local, and Tribal governments to support their response to and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Broadband deployment and access projects are included among the eligible uses of these funds.
