Over the next few weeks, AFD will be sharing simple fireworks safety tips to help keep everyone safe during the holiday.

Today’s reminder: After fireworks have been used, make sure they are completely cooled, then soak them in water for a few hours before disposing of them.

You showed up BIG at our blood drive! Thanks to 7 first-time donors, 7 walk-ins, and everyone who donated, we exceeded our goal and collected 5.25 gallons of lifesaving blood.

We love our littlest supporters! 🚒❤️

The Alexandria Fire Department had a great time at Big Vehicle Day with Alexandria Community Education the other week meeting families, showing off the fire truck, and seeing so many excited future firefighters. 👨‍🚒✨

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, ask questions, and explore the trucks with us. Community events like these are always a highlight for our crew!
