Check out our amazing ALIVE! Furniture Program volunteers from Westminster Presbyterian Church - Alexandria, Friends of Guest House, and our community! These 22 volunteers delivered nearly 50 pieces of donated furniture to seven families on Saturday. These Alexandria families now have beds to sleep on, tables to eat at, and sofas to sit on because of how these fabulous people spent their Saturday morning.

Sign up to volunteer at one of the ALIVE! Food Hubs in Del Ray or on the West End of Alexandria.

We need roughly 20 volunteers each day to help re-stock shelves, unload deliveries of food, and assist clients making grocery selections. If you are interested in helping clients select groceries in a mini-grocery-store like environment please reserve your volunteer shift today. We are especially in need of volunteers with language skills (Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Amharic, Arabic) but this is not required to get involved. Youth volunteers ages 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration in advance is required for all volunteer shifts at: https://www.alive-inc.org/we-need-volunteers-alexandria-va/

We ❤️LOVE❤️ our furniture volunteers! Yesterday, 20 volunteers in three trucks brought donated furniture to eight Alexandria families.

We delivered a queen bed and dresser to a woman who just came home from the hospital. She now has a comfortable place to rest and heal. We also delivered two twin beds for siblings whose room had been empty until today. Little kids excitedly jumping onto their “new” beds made our hearts melt! It was a happy Valentine’s weekend furniture day! 💕

Would you ❤️love❤️ to deliver furniture to your neighbors in need? Sign up to join us at: https://www.alive-inc.org/we-need-volunteers-alexandria-va/

A team of all-star volunteers from King’s Church and the community recently moved a whole house full of furniture donations for Alexandria families who need essentials!

A family who is moving out of the country wanted to make a difference, so they donated almost all of their furniture to ALIVE!. We delivered the dining room set and a super cool bunk bed to a mom and little boy, a sofa to another young family, and an entire bedroom suite of furniture to another family. Together with furniture donations from two other generous families, we brought love, faith & furniture to six Alexandria families - all before 1 pm!

You can be a furniture volunteer all-star, too! Sign up to spend you Saturday morning helping others at: alive-inc.org/volunteer
