This day acknowledges their inherent sovereignty, humanity, and enduring fortitude. America was founded on the promise of equality and opportunity for all — a promise that, despite progress, remains unrealized for Indigenous peoples who have dwelled on this land since long before colonization.

Healthcare can change everything.

Across Sierra Leone, Bread and Water for Africa® and our local partners are helping bring essential healthcare and medicine to families living in remote communities.
When Mariama became pregnant with her second child, she grew weaker each day. After walking four miles to her nearest health clinic, she received the care and nutritional support she needed.

Today, she's the proud mother of a healthy baby girl and is encouraging other women in her community to seek prenatal care.
