Today, our 4th Grade MacArthur Stars had the opportunity to learn from the Brossy family as they shared their knowledge and experiences about different Native American tribes and communities in Virginia.

This special presentation served as a wonderful culminating experience that connected directly to the Virginia history our students have been studying in the classroom.

🏊‍♀️💦 For the past three weeks, our fourth grade MacArthur Stars have been making a SPLASH at the Minnie Howard pool as part of their SPLASH Unit, learning essential swimming skills and water safety!

From getting comfortable in the water to building swimming skills, our students had the opportunity to build confidence, practice water safety, and challenge themselves in a supportive environment.

A huge shout-out to our amazing fourth grade teachers and PE Team for getting in the water and supporting our Stars every step of the way! ❤️

Way to make a SPLASH, Stars! ⭐️🏊‍♂️💦

Today, we kicked off our Pre-K Tots Soccer program in partnership with the Alexandria Soccer Association (ASA)! 💙⚽️

This incredible partnership provides ACPS VPI students with the opportunity to develop foundational soccer skills, increase active participation, build confidence, and—most importantly—have fun while learning the game!

Our youngest Stars are learning to kick, dribble, move, and play together while building skills that go far beyond the soccer field. ⭐️

We’re so excited to watch our Pre-K Stars grow, learn, and shine throughout this special 6-week soccer experience! ⚽️💙⭐️
