Since 1997, Elder Network has been a leading provider of volunteer care services to people age 55 and older in Douglas County, Minnesota. We are dedicated to helping adults meet the challenges associated with aging or care giving. Elder Network services are provided by highly trained and compassionate volunteers and coordinated

by a staff of professionals committed to enriching the lives of adults through companionship, socialization, friendly listening or care giver relief. We are a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) charitable organization and are funded by the generous gifts of individuals, grants, businesses, churches and service groups.

🚨 Introducing the CARE List 🚨

The CARE List is a voluntary registry designed to help local emergency response and preparedness teams identify individuals who may need extra assistance during community-wide emergencies such as:

⚠️ Severe weather
⚠️ Extended power outages
⚠️ Natural disasters
⚠️ Evacuations

✅ Important to Know:
Registering does not guarantee assistance during an emergency. However, it helps responders better plan, prioritize resources, and understand community needs.

💙 Who Should Register?
You may want to register yourself or a loved one if you:

• Have limited mobility or need help evacuating
• Depend on electricity for medical equipment (oxygen, ventilator, etc.)
• Have a disability or condition affecting response to alerts
• Live alone without nearby support from family, friends, or caregivers
• Need transportation to reach a safe location or shelter

We're excited to share that the houseplant sale has brought in over $1100! BUT we still have $350 worth of plants remaining. All proceeds from our plant sales go to supporting our programming for seniors in the area. What services could $350 support?

- Provide 4 sessions of Coffee Break to give caregivers a break and care receivers a time of fun and socialization
- Furnish an iPad or Echo Show to a senior in the area (at no cost to them) to access online resources, entertainment, and social sites
- Offer Caregiver Counseling to those caring for loved ones
