My favorite day of the year as CEO of AAAE usually occurs in July, when I get to sign letters and checks from the AAAE Foundation to deserving students. Not going to lie, it was touch and go this year. We suspended the program in April because of the devastating impact the pandemic was having on our revenues. Delighted, in the last few days of this crazy year, to issue 77 scholarships to students across the country. Not as many as we usually do, and not as big a check as in recent years, but somehow, perhaps more meaningful given what we collectively just went through this year.
Grateful to all who contribute and excited for the worthy recipients. Can’t wait to see what dent in the universe these students make as they chart their course for the future.
