Seizure Tracker started with a sheet of paper and 365 boxes.

That is what our founders came home with after their son's first neurology appointment. A year's worth of boxes to fill in by hand. As his seizures increased, it became clear that was never going to be enough.

So they built something better. A tool to track seizures and medications, generate reports, and give their neurologist the information needed to make informed decisions.

When the school years came, new challenges followed. Different routines. New people in the room. More variables to keep track of. Tracking made those changes visible and kept the whole care team on the same page.

That is still why Seizure Tracker exists. Because no family should have to manage this alone, or by hand.

September is National Preparedness Month, and for our community, it is a good moment to pause and ask: is everything in place for the school year?

If your child has epilepsy, the school nurse, teachers, and staff all play an important role in keeping them safe. Now is a great time to dust off the Seizure Action Plan, confirm medication schedules are on file, and make sure the right people have the right information before the first bell rings.

Clinical trials are how researchers find better ways to understand, treat, and support people living with seizures. Participating in a study is not right for everyone, but for those who are interested, it can be a meaningful way to contribute to something larger while potentially gaining access to therapies that are not yet widely available.
