We received a lovely care package from our sister library, Alfred Box of Books (Alfred, NY)! Inside: an Alfred Pizza Pan made from local terra cotta, local artist crafted stationary card, brochure on the Alfred Ceramic Art Museum, a newspaper clipping on the retirement of a staff member, and the business card of a new local store. The Keepers of Parsons Memorial Library are holding a raffle for this 28-inch, three burner, liquid propane flat top grill, generously donated by Eldredge Hardware in Sanford. Have you seen the grill on display at the circulation desk? Did you know that you could win that? It's true! You could win this beautiful Weber 28-inch, three burner, liquid propane Flat Top Grill! While our Ukulele Explorers takes a break for the summer, we'd like to invite beginner uke players to a once-a-week strumming session! On Mondays in June and July we'll be sharpening our skills, practicing strumming drills, and playing songs. Join us from 1-2 p.m. each Monday beginning June 1 for Spring and Summer Ukulele Practice! The museum's summer hours are Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2-4 p.m. and admission is free! If you haven't visited the Alfred Village Museum, this is your chance!
