USDA FARM TO FAMILY
There will be another distribution of Farm to Family boxes coming on Thursday March 25th.

We will try to work it out so more people that get in line can get a box but it is a challenge. If we limit it to one box per car we could end up at the end of the day with 200 boxes that will spoil since we do not have refrigeration to hold them. If we allow people to pick up for themselves and 3 other people then we run out and people get upset.
So we will try to lower the quantity this time so it balances out better.

At any rate - mark your calendars - more info to follow.

Here is a note from Mary Goodner regarding the community garden.
---------------
Hello Fellow Community Gardeners,

You are receiving this note because you had, at one time, gardened or had expressed an interest in gardening at the Algoma Community Gardens.

In the past year we have been working to make the gardening experience more user friendly by constructing 4' X 8' raised beds filled with 6" of straw
and 8" of soil, making them ready for seeds.

We currently have about 10 beds remaining for rent, for this summer season, at the rate of $10 per bed or 3 beds for $25.

If you are interested in gardening with us, please contact Dale or Sharon Wahlers at: 920-487- 5876

Hope to see you at the garden-
Mary Goodner

We wish to thank the Oshkosh Corporation for their recent "Feed the Body, Feed the Soul” rice-packing event that was held on 10/13/17. This rice was provided in partnership with Oshkosh Corporation and the Refuge Foundation for the Arts with the intention of supplying rice to food pantries in select counties across northeast Wisconsin to help assist with filling their pantry needs.
Our pantry in Algoma received 750 3# bags of rice for distribution to our clients.

Any Carpet installers out there who would be willing to donate a bit of time to install a piece of carpet at the Kewaunee County Food Pantry?
We were donated a nice brand new piece of indoor/outdoor carpet that would fit in our waiting room area. What is there now is pretty worn and dirty. The room size is apx 13' x 12'.
Thanks

For our Spanish speaking clients - if you have trouble speaking English and would feel more comfortable coming to the pantry when we have someone available that speaks Spanish - we have now arranged with the Algoma high school Spanish class to have students available on the first and second Mondays of each month from 12:15 - 1:00. It's an opportunity for the students to volunteer and for you to have some help.

A los hispanohablantes:

El primer y segundo lunes de cada mes, vamos a tener unos alumnos hispanohablantes para ayudarlos entre 12:15 - 1:00.
