We want to send out a big thank you to Nyman TV & Furniture and Deb Wolfe for selecting Algona EMS and Algona Fire Department for their annual TV sale donation through their Community Give Back Program! Algona EMS has been lucky enough to receive this awesome award 7 times since they began this program in 2009! We continue to appreciate all of the support we have recevied from Nyman and our community!

A big thank you to Smithfield in Algona for their support of Emergency Medical Services in Algona and surrounding areas with their donation! It will go towards buying new equipment for our staff to utilize in their everyday duties!

In 2025, Kossuth County EMS responded to a total of 1,415 calls for service, providing emergency and non-emergency medical care throughout Kossuth County and surrounding areas.

Call Volume Breakdown:
• 🚑 1,139 Emergency (911) responses
• 🏥 237 Inter-facility patient transfers
• 🏟️ 39 Community and event standbys

These figures reflect the scope and operational demands placed on Kossuth County EMS. Coverage is maintained 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year by dedicated EMS professionals committed to patient care and community safety.

Kossuth County EMS appreciates the continued trust and support of the communities we serve.

September 13, 2023, is a day that forever changed our community, and his memory lives on in the hearts of so many. Our thoughts remain with Kevin’s loved ones, friends, and fellow officers. Rest easy, 55-18.
