Algona Day today!!! Parade starts at 10:30 and the Seattle Cossacks will start their show right at the end in front of Waffle Park. Take a look at the flyer for the other activities. Our food court will be in front of the community center. Also, stop by the city booth for some give-ways and raffle. Still time to invite friends to join for a terrific day.

Algona Day, Saturday Aug 22nd, kicks-off with a parade down 1st Ave at 10:30am. We also have a variety of craft and information vendors that will be on Warde Street. We will have a food court in front of the community center. There are a lot of fun and amazing activities for you and your family to enjoy!

Exactly 1 week from now (10:30am, Sat Aug 22nd) the Parade down 1st Ave begins! You should be able to hear the Fire Trucks, music and revving engines from anywhere in Algona. The Seattle Cossacks will begin their show in front of the Waffle Park at the end of the Parade. You don't want to miss this! Invite everyone you know, it is going to be a great day.

One week from today is our Old Time Carnival to kick-off Algona Day! Come and support our Junior Ambassador's and have a night of fun playing some games from the past. This will be at the Community Center from 5-7 pm, Friday Aug 21st.

🚧 2026 Overlay Project 🚧
The City of Algona’s 2026 Overlay Project, performed by Puget Paving & Construction, is scheduled to begin Monday, August 17.
Work will occur on portions of 2nd Avenue N, Seattle Boulevard, and 3rd Avenue N. Residents should expect temporary no-parking areas, intermittent road closures, traffic control, and delays.
Affected residents will receive notice before work begins on their street. Thank you for your patience as we complete these important roadway improvements.
