Celebrate Huntley’s 175th Anniversary with a FREE Community Concert! 🎶🤩
This year marks the 175th anniversary of the Village of Huntley, Illinois, and we’re celebrating with a special community concert featuring performances by District 158 students, the Huntley Community Band, and a historical presentation by the Huntley Historical Society.

📍 Location: Huntley High School Performing Arts Center – 13719 Harmony Road, Huntley, IL

• Please note: District 158 Early Childhood Center will host a Parent Education Day so there will be no school for ECC students.

Transportation services will accommodate the early dismissal.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW? Meet Sydney Plante from the Class of 2019!

Plante earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she focused her studies on economics, political science, and political philosophy. She has a robust background in government operations, policy development, and strategic communications.

Prior to joining MARAD, she served in the regional office of the U.S. Secretary of Transportation with Sean Duffy during his tenure in Congress. In this capacity, she spearheaded regional policy initiatives and managed critical constituent relations.

Complementing her public sector leadership, Plante draws on over three years of experience as a paralegal, giving her a sophisticated understanding of administrative law, regulatory frameworks, and complex case management.

She notes that Huntley High School provided many opportunities for learning and helping to prepare her for her career, such as AP classes, mock trial, and various after school activities.

Plante’s advice to current students is to join clubs and take electives to determine what they enjoy, as this can lead to a future path to a fulfilling career.

Check out a few moments from Mackeben Elementary School's Math & Literacy Night! 🤩📖

Mackeben families went on a "scavenger hunt" for mystery readers, reading to Cooper the therapy dog, checking out the book fair, playing math games and signing the pledge to read. Superintendent Jessica Lombard even joined in and signed the pledge! 📝
