276 people went to the polls and filled in the circle beside my name.
Was it enough to win? No. But after looking back at previous Algood City Council elections, I realized just how much that number means to me.
That is more votes than any Algood City Council candidate received in either the 2022 or 2024 elections.
For my first time ever putting my name on a ballot, I am incredibly proud of that.
Of course I wanted to win. But 276 people trusted me to represent them, their families, and the city we call home and I refuse to look at that as a loss.
I don’t need a seat on the council to keep showing up for Algood. I was serving this community before I became a candidate, and I’ll continue serving it after.
To every one of those 276 people: thank you. 🤍
