⭐ At this meeting, we will hear a "Culturally Responsive Literature and Curriculum Update" staff report by Dr. Marisa Palacios.

⭐ The district will also recognize our latest Game Changers: 🤩 Nik Laas from Brightwood School & 🤩 Kendra Noyola from the Central Production Kitchen.

Congratulations 🥳 to Northrup third grader ✨ MIKHAYLA TRAN ✨, whose design inspired the City of Alhambra’s 2027 💐 Rose Parade float❗ Her design perfectly captures the theme of “Welcome,” 💕 which celebrates the warmth of family, the love of friends, and the embrace of community.

Mikhayla’s artwork 🖼️ was titled “Beauty, Love, and Nature, Welcome!!” and it inspired several key components of the final float design, which was further enhanced with beloved 💗 Alhambra landmarks and symbols and the word “welcome” in multiple languages.

⭐ Mikhayla and one of her parents will ride the float down Colorado Boulevard on January 1, 2027. Fun fact: This is Alhambra’s 98th consecutive appearance in the Tournament of Roses parade. 🌹

AUSD is so grateful 🫶 to the City of Alhambra for offering our students this unique opportunity to be part of this long-standing tradition. The city will soon announce 📣 volunteer opportunities for those who would like to help decorate this year’s float. Stay tuned‼️

It's time for the 13th annual Alhambra Pumpkin Run ️🎃🏃🏽‍♂️ & Halloween Festival to support the ❗

The 2026 Alhambra Pumpkin Run will be held on 📆 SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25th. Proceeds 💰 benefit to support schools 🏫 and students. Please join the City of Alhambra for this 🎉 fun-filled day.
