Today, we’re throwing it back to an inspiring conversation with Sharonda, a resident of our South Scattered Sites (SSS) public housing development, whose journey is a beautiful reminder of what resilience, opportunity, and determination can make possible. As a single mother raising her 10-year-old son, who has Down syndrome, she experienced homelessness but eventually found her way to the LACDA. Since becoming part of our public housing community, she has worked incredibly hard to build a stronger and more stable future for her family. She continues to shine as a leader and an inspiration in the SSS community. And this year, Sharonda celebrated a HUGE accomplishment. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration! But she’s not stopping there. She’s currently heading back to school to pursue her Master’s degree. Sharonda’s story is one of personal growth, leadership, and community impact. We are honored to share her journey and celebrate all that she has accomplished. Take a look at our video 🎥 interview and hear her story in her own words: https://vimeo.com/1221831441.
