UPDATE: Road is Open

Beaver Grade Road is currently closed from the Sea Shell Bar down to Tiger Trail for utility poles that are currently on fire. Duquesne Light was notified with no ETA for repairs.

Moon Township was called into North Fayette Township VFD this morning to assist with a commercial structure fire.

🔥🔥 MUTUAL AID FIRE 🔥🔥

Just before 5 am units were dispatched to a reported fire in a restaurant in North Fayette Township VFD . First alarm units found a fire in the exhaust system that had extended to the roof area. Fire was quickly brought under control with no reported injuries.

Moon Township was dispatched yesterday (7/26) for a Structure Fire. Crews were able to make access and extinguish the fire quickly. Additional Fire Departments were requested, but released shortly after. Upon leaving the scene, Moon Township Volunteer Firefighters were requested into Crescent Township to assist with a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Moon Township was cancelled due to no entrapment and minor injuries.

Over the last 3 weeks Moon Township Volunteer Firefighters have been holding weekly trainings on Water Supply. This included the use of water supply from Township fire hydrants and the use of tankers and supply drop tanks. Thank you to our mutual aid partners Robinson Twp. VFC #1 - Station 244, and Crescent Township Volunteer Fire Department for use of their Tankers and drop tanks.

On 6/14/26 Firefighters responded to a working structure fire. A second alarm was requested for assistance and manpower. The fire was extinguished quickly and turned over to the Allegheny County Fire Marshal.
