Bon Meade LFL #124961 "The best books are shared." Read, return, repeat! Run by Steward Lighann L. & Family A little free library offers free books, always.

We do appreciate when people swap out a book for another book as it keeps our stock flowing. It is not necessary to always bring a book in order to take one, but we do ask that you not take more than 2 or 3 at a time so everyone can enjoy the library. Anything we place in the library is FOR YOU, unless it is decorations, or otherwise specified on our page. We greatly appreciate our visitors, because without you, we wouldn't be able to have such an amazing array of reading materials!

🎉 Today marks 5 years of Bon Meade LFL #124961

5 years of:
▪️sharing hundreds of books
▪️creating activities
▪️hosting contests
▪️greeting neighbors as they drive past
▪️participating in community events
▪️HAPPINESS

We couldn't have done the last five years without YOU!

It's also and to celebrate, I added more books this morning! You can celebrate with us by sharing your favorite book in our LFL, or another of your choosing, use the chalk to write a message or draw a picture, take photos with your favorite LFL and share them so others can share in the fun of little free libraries!

Thank you for making this one of my favorite ways to share my love of reading 📚 ❤️

It's National Black Authors Day!

A few of my favorite books written by black authors are (in no particular order):

~ The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison
~ Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan
~ Pride & Protest by Nikki Payne (She's a favorite!)
~ Becoming by Michelle Obama

My favorite genre is romance, so I need a book to really grab me when it's not in my preferred area. The Bluest Eye is something I think everyone should read, regardless of race, ESPECIALLY if you are not African American. One of my reading goals this year is to add more POC and LGBTQIA+ authors to my shelves!
