Moon Township Ordinance § 16-102P - Only licensed motor vehicles shall be permitted on designated roadways within the Township parks. No Motor Scooters, Mini Bikes, Go-Carts, Snow Mobiles or All-Terrain vehicles are permitted in Township parks.

Magisterial District Judge Michele Santicola administered the Oath of Office on July 1, 2026 to Officer Tyler Greenleaf, Officer Reese Mueseler, and Officer Josh Swanson. All three officers are recent graduates of the Allegheny County Police Academy.

🎉 Township of Moon’s Annual 4th of July Celebration 🎉

The Township of Moon would like to invite all residents to the annual 4th of July Celebration in Moon Park on Saturday, July 4th from 4:00 p.m. until the conclusion of the fireworks display scheduled to start at 10:00 p.m.

Traffic restrictions will be in place leading up to and during the event.

Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to secure parking inside the park. Overflow parking and shuttle service will be available at 1400 Cherrington Parkway. When parking reaches capacity in Moon Park, Ewing Road will close from Beaver Grade Road to Coraopolis Heights Road and will remain closed until after the fireworks display. Ewing Road will not reopen until Moon Park is cleared of pedestrians and vehicles, so please plan accordingly.

We are asking motorists and pedestrians to use caution moving in and around Moon Park.

All athletic fields will be closed this date.
