Wow! Allen Park Firefighters and the Chief and Deputy Chief are so grateful to our friend Len Perotta 5 Lakes Wood Co. and Phil Dobbertin Homestead Hardwood Furniture Co. for our new 10 1/2 foot walnut dining table. Thank you to the Allen Park Festivities Commission and Nancy Knick for providing the funds to purchase this beautiful piece. We are looking forward to sharing many meals and stories at this table.

After 26 1/2 years of service to the City of Allen Park, Captain McLaurin has officially retired. We thank him for his long-standing commitment to the department and to the community.

Throughout his career, he responded to countless calls, supported the Allen Park Firefighters as an officer, and contributed many years of experience to the crews.

Please join us in congratulating Ken and wishing him a happy, healthy, and enjoyable retirement. 🚒 🚑

A proud day for APFD! At tonight’s City of Allen Park Council Meeting, our newest probationary firefighter, Geoff Campau, was sworn in to the Allen Park Firefighters crew. Join us in welcoming him to our city!

Along with our friends from the Allen Park Police Department, we honored those who were part of the rescue saving efforts at the American House fire in Southgate last month.

Phase 2 -Bay renovations along with new door installation begins next week. Phase 3 has started asbestos abatement with demolition planned before Thanksgiving. We have moved into the new living quarters (Phase 1).

❓❓Have you seen the work being done at Allen Park Fire Department ❓❓

If you have not been by, a much-needed expansion and improvements have been underway for some time, with completion expected in 2026. The DDA is proud to have offered our support for this important project — because when our first responders have what they need, our whole community benefits.

Late Friday night, our crew and Ladder 51 were called to Southgate to help with a senior living apartment fire. Due to the magnitude of the incident, Firefighters and Chiefs from over 8 cities and multiple private ambulance services from the Downriver area responded immediately.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all agencies on scene, every resident was escorted safely from the building. We are proud to serve and stand alongside our Downriver partners when duty calls.
