Officers & Civilians work together in Patrol, Detective Bureau, SWAT, CNT, K9, Narcotics, Records, Schools, Accreditation, and in Administration. With 6 officers assigned to the Detective bureau, 1 assigned to a task force and 1 working as the school resource officer and 1 officer in DRANO

Tonight, before City Council, Jason Dobbertin was officially sworn in as Allen Park’s new Chief of Police.

Chief Dobbertin has proudly served the city of Allen Park for nearly 20yrs, holding almost every position within the department. With his characteristic humility, he expressed his gratitude to City Council, his friends and family, along with outgoing Chief Feltz for their love and support.

It’s that time of the year again… The Allen Park Street Fair will be running Friday - Saturday. As a reminder Allen Road will be closed between Southfield Rd and Roosevelt Rd, beginning Thursday August 6th at 7am through 10 am Sunday August 9th.

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of retired Lieutenant Farrand "Bud" Sherman.
Lieutenant Sherman served with A.P.P.D. from February 18th 1960 until his retirement, July 7th 1994. Allen Park P.D. sincerely sends our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Rest easy Lieutenant, we have the watch from here.
