Please be advised, due to statewide technical difficulties, APPD is unable to process license to purchase applications at this time.

Again, this is a statewide issue and neither the city of Allen Park, APPD or the Records Department is able to process purchase applications until this matter is resolved.

We will post when applications are available to be processed again once notified by the state.

🍦🚔 Cones with Cops at Bennie Elementary! 🐾

Our officers got to cool off with some ice cream alongside Bennie’s Bobcats who were winners of the school’s Fun Run! 🎉

A big thank-you to Bennie Elementary for hosting this fun event and giving our officers a chance to connect with some of our amazing students.

The officers think they may have won this one… after all, ice cream is a pretty sweet reward! 😎🍦

🚌 School Bus Safety Program 🚨

The Allen Park Public Schools, in partnership with the Allen Park Police Department, is launching a new school bus safety program with to help make our roads safer for students.

Beginning Today, Monday, October 19th, 2026, school buses that are equipped with stop-arm cameras designed to detect vehicles that fail to stop when required by law will be forwarded to the police department and violators will be issued a citation.

⚠️ Know the law:
When a school bus is stopped with red lights flashing and the stop arm extended, drivers must come to a complete stop.

This initiative is focused on increasing safety, accountability, and awareness to better protect our children on their way to and from school.

Please stay alert, follow the law, and help us keep our students safe.
