We have one foundation of law in America: the United States Constitution.

Everything else—from the federal government to state and local governments—must adhere to our constitutional system and the rule of law.

Any effort to establish Sharia law as governing is completely incompatible with this fundamental principle.

It was an honor to host a Sharia-Free America Caucus roundtable with members of the Sharia-Free Texas Caucus, strengthening collaboration between federal and state efforts to combat the expansion of Sharia law.

We discussed legislative efforts aimed at protecting our Constitution and preserving the rule of law.

Thank you to our special guest speakers: Karen Lugo, author of Mosques in America and constitutional law attorney with expertise in federal Religious Land Use, and Frank Gaffney, founder of the Center for Security Policy.

NEW DATE: Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins and I are hosting a Telephone Town Hall on September 3rd, 2026, at 5:30PM CST.  

We will provide updates on the work of the Department of Veterans Affairs and highlight how my office has been working alongside the Secretary and the Department to advance their mission of improving the lives of our nation’s veterans.
