One way I earn income as a Notary Public? Apostille facilitation.

An apostille is a certification that helps authenticate certain documents so they can be accepted in another country.

And as an Apostille Facilitator, I help clients navigate that process, from getting documents properly prepared to getting them where they need to go.

It’s one of the MANY ways you can build additional income streams within your notary business.

I share notary business tips, service ideas, and information like this every day on this channel. Follow for more.

You know you want to grow your notary business, but which training should you take next?

That depends on the type of service you want to offer.

If you are brand new, start by building the business foundation. If you want real estate closings, focus on loan signing training. If attorney partnerships interest you, estate planning appointments may be your next move. If you want to help clients with documents being used internationally, explore apostille training. If you want to offer virtual appointments, learn the requirements and process for remote online notarization.

There is no single path every notary has to follow. The right training is the one that supports the business you are actually trying to build.

Save this post for the next time you are deciding what to learn, and share it with a notary who needs direction.

You’re invited.

We’re going LIVE today inside the Signature Success Community for another training session designed to help you actually build the business, not just collect information and never use it.

And yes, if you’re a member, you’ll also have access to our past sessions and the ones coming next.

If you still haven’t joined us, comment SUCCESS and I’ll send you the details so you can get inside and attend today’s session.

You may already know someone who needs apostille services, and they do not even realize it yet.

A teacher accepting a job overseas.
A couple getting married abroad.
A family applying for dual citizenship.
A student attending a foreign university.
A business owner using documents internationally.

These clients have important documents, high-stakes deadlines, and questions they need someone knowledgeable to answer.

If you are a notary looking to expand your services or an entrepreneur interested in building an apostille business, this could be your next opportunity.

You do not need to know everything today. You simply need the right training, a clear process, and the confidence to serve clients correctly.

Ready to learn how apostille services work and how to get started?

Comment APOSTILLE below, and I’ll send you more information.

3 Things About Being a Notary Public: What It Is + What It’s NOT

1. You ARE a public official.
Your job is to verify identity, follow your state’s notary laws, complete the proper notarial act, and help protect against fraud.

You are NOT an attorney.
Unless you are also a licensed attorney, you cannot give legal advice, choose documents for someone, or tell a signer what they should or shouldn’t sign.

2. You ARE responsible for knowing your state’s notary laws.
Your commission comes with rules, responsibilities, and boundaries.

You are NOT responsible for the document itself.
You’re notarizing the signature and performing the requested notarial act. You’re not approving the document, guaranteeing its contents, or making it “legal.”

3. You ARE a notary public.
That’s your commission.

You are NOT automatically a notary business owner.
Getting commissioned gives you permission to perform notarial acts. Building a business requires learning services, pricing, marketing, systems, customer service, and how to actually find paying clients.

A commission makes you a notary. A strategy turns it into a business.

Which one do you think new notaries misunderstand the most: 1, 2, or 3?

Loan Signing Agents, I want to know how YOU handle this at the table.

One oath at the beginning, or a new oath every time you hit a jurat?

Drop your answer in the comments.

Thinking about adding fingerprinting to your notary business? The replay is now up.

I sat down with Snyder Jean for a live Q&A on how to start and grow a fingerprinting business, and we got into the questions people are actually asking.

We talked about ink fingerprinting vs. Live Scan, startup costs, finding clients, pricing, Google, equipment, mobile services, and how fingerprinting can pair with services like apostilles.

If fingerprinting has been sitting on your “maybe I should add that” list, this is a good place to start.

We've put the video in the comments
