The GVSU Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency charged with the responsibility of enforcing the laws of the State of Michigan and University rules and regulations. Additional services provided by our police department include traffic control, lost and found property, 24hr non-emergency dispatch, motorist assists, and emergency closing announcements. The department is staffed b

y about 20 sworn law enforcement officers including a director and assistant directors, temporary call in officers, three clerical staff members and approximately 15 student employees.

Due to weather conditions, GVSU
Move-In 2026 has been suspended until further notice. GVPD plans to resume operations later today.
Parking and Traffic Information:
Lot C is closed.
Temporary parking is available in Lots G, H, K, and J.
Please do not stop or park on campus roads.
Traffic must continue moving throughout campus to allow emergency access and maintain safe traffic flow.

Due to severe weather conditions, GVSU
Move-In 2026 has been suspended until further notice. The safety of our students, families, staff, and volunteers remains our top priority.
Parking and Traffic Information
